Supaloc Classic Targa
Adelaide is an exciting international event, a tarmac rally with competitive
stages on closed roads for the best touring and classic cars in the world. In
its current format this will consist of prologue (closed street circuit time
trial), and three competitive days with eight closed road stages each day. What
makes Supaloc Classic Targa Adelaide such a unique tarmac event is the
circumference of the cities CBD to the competitive stages, giving competitors
the opportunity to race incredible open tarmac roads but will still have all the
luxuries and attractions of returning to a CBD location at night.
The
competition concept is drawn directly from the best features of the Targa
Florio, Mille Miglia, the Coupe des Alpes and the Tour de Corse. However,
Supaloc Classic Targa Adelaide is not a slow motion re-run; it is a genuine
"red-blooded" motorsport competition. It is also a unique annual opportunity for
the owners of cars and to drive them the way they were designed to be driven, on
exciting and challenging tarmac roads.
